All children ages 2-5 and their families are invited to “bee readers” and to attend the 9th annual Toddler Fest Saturday, April 5, from 10 am to noon at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson. Although the event is scheduled till noon, families are encouraged to arrive in time to enjoy the come-and-go activities at their child’s pace.
Toddler Fest features a variety of activities ranging from music making to rodeo riding, but the “take home” message is that “reading is all the buzz.” Stations are manned by library staff from all six of the county’s libraries, many of whom bring their best volunteers for the morning of fun.
All toddlers will receive a new book of their own to take home, and parents can pick up information about children’s literacy and services available. Refreshments will be served.
The event is sponsored by the Greene County board of supervisors and the Greene County libraries.
